It certainly has caffeine in it but it is not as fresh as coffee brewed from beans ground in a specialist shop. Instant coffee is to freshly brewed coffee as canned vegetables are to those you buy at a Farmers' Market. Excess caffeine can make you jumpy and upset your stomach. A recent study says, however, that those who regularly drink three or four cups a day come to tolerate it better than those who drink it only occasionally. But those with heart problems are advised to be cautious of coffee.
