My guess is you probably went out too hard... you are still new to working out and you pushed yourself beyond what you are capable of.
Some tips:
1) Wear a heart rate monitor and make sure you don't over your max heart rate.
2) Keep cool / hydrated. Often times those spinning classes jack up the heat.
3) Eat properly. If you aren't properly fueled, your glucose level could drop and you could faint.
4) Know your limits. You probably sensed you were pushing it just a little too far before you passed out. Don't be afraid to cut the intensity of simply stop when you feel yourself pushing towards this threshold.
I'd see a doctor, but more than likely he is going to more or less tell you what I did...
Good luck and take it easy.

Sounds like you pushed yourself too hard too fast. When starting a workout program you have to work your way up gradually. My wife had a similar problem but was on a machine that measured heart rate. When her pulse went above 170 bpm an alarm on the machine went off so she didn't get to the point of blacking out. She immediately scheduled a doctors appointment and held off on the exercise until the visit.
The good news is that the doctor after determining that the skyrocketing pulse was only happening while working out determined that she was just out of shape. He suggested she work out only 15 minutes per workout to start until her pulse rate could be controlled better. Now she can workout for hours at high intensity without having any problems but it took her a year to get to this point.
Good luck. And don't push yourself too hard.

if you are doing atkins or intaking low carbs totally normal, if you were dehydrated I would imagine this isn't abnormal. and another suggestion is perhaps you weren't breathing enough, I know sometimes when I run and get really wore out I forget to breath heavily I get dizzy can't pick my feet up and everything starts turning purple. I have to stop breath and get a drink. I don't think you have anything to worry about at all.

I've been told that any time you lose consciousness it should be taken seriously since it could be a sign of something worse.
Or maybe you just pushed yourself too hard. Lighten up on the exercise until you see your doctor.

along with drinking water before & during your workout...are you eatting something before you workout? You should be consuming something.. I have read something dairy like a yogurt or cottage cheese is good. I always have a yogurt 30 minutes prior to exercising heavily...
See what the doctor thinks...he knows best

you need to keep yourself 'hydrated' by drinking plenty of fluids before, during and after exercising. See your doctor for a physical exam and go from there.
