My husband and I started off trying to prove the bible wrong so we could justify or lives. The more we tried to prove it wrong the more it proved to us it was true. A good book to read is A Case For Christ. It was written by someone who did not believe the bible. He used all of his unbelief and science to dig in and see if it was true or fake.

I'm not quite sure that'fake' is the right word. The Old Testament is, for the most part, myth, along with a little bit of actual history and actual geography, overshadowed by a good bit of pseudo-history and pseudo-geography... and quite a bit of what appears to be psychotic delusions.

The New Testament is a different kettle of fish, entirely. Modern biblical scholarship makes a very compelling case for the idea that Jesus is an entirely fictional character... which would make the New Testament... and Christianity... a faud.

The book has talking donkeys and snakes, 900 year old men, a world wide flood which geologists tell us never happened, contradicts known biology. It tells you a man lived inside a giant fish for three days. It has zombies rising from their graves and walking around. It tells you if you get leprosy to soak your big toe in pigeon blood to treat it. It condones slavery while it tells you wearing clothes with mixed fibers is evil, and has thousands and thousands of other inanities. What kind of greater proof could you possibly want??? The problem is nobody ever reads this ridiculous book. Otherwise there would be a lot more atheists.

let's take God and the divinity of Christ from the bible, to answer this.

the bible references some persons, Jesus, abraham, moses, john the baptist, etc. these persons can be found in the historical texts of the "official state" records of their times. this proves the historical accuracy of the bible.

the bible also references cities, countries and civilizations such as egypt, macedonia and others to include sodom and gamora. archeological digs have proven the existence of most of the cities and civilizations and lifestyles of these places. as for sodom and gamora, about twelve years ago, they found the ruins in the general location of the biblical references that have yet to be confirmed as such, but the archeologists believe that they are sodom and gamora.

now, if we take the bible as a reference for historical purposes, and we find people, places and things, that hold up to scientific proof and confirmation other than just religious teachings, we have to assume that the bible is based on fact.

while it is a rather large leap, the next step is to make the connection to God and Christ and even satan as being real. yes it is a leap of faith, but it takes much more faith to believe in a chicken hatching from a lizard egg.

Revelation is on the floor prophecy, and through interpretation lifely allegory. Its no longer actually describing an journey the author thinks exceeded off. The Bible isn't meant to be discected sentense through sentense. study all of Revelation and the very undeniable actuality that that is written as prophecy is obtrusive. The very time period "revelation" implies it. it really is the Revelation of John...what became printed to John.

Nope no proof at all. People have been trying for years, and the harder they work to disprove the Bible, the more evidence is uncovered that it is the inspired Word of God.
gotta love it when that happens! :)
