Since the word begotten actually means born, yes, we are all begotten (look at all of the "begots" listed in Genesis - "And Abraham begat Isaac", etc etc.)
Now, the difference comes into play when you consider Jesus - he is "only-begotten" in the sense that he was created by God alone, and then he helped God create everything else. See Colossians 1:12-18 Here Paul says quite plainly that this dear son is the "firstborn of every creature" (vs. 15) "For by him all things were created" (vs.16) and vs. 18 also states that he is "the firstborn from the dead" since he was the first person to be restored to life again. (which could lead to another discussion on "What about everyone who died before Jesus did?"

Begotten according to the Strong's Concondance Greek is #3439 which means:

monogenes which means: only-born i.e. sole:--only (begotten, child)

For God so loved the World that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever beliveth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life!

no other begottens. Only jesus...or actually... it depends on what you are asking... are you asking concerning the word/term "begotten" (a.). ...
or are you asking if Jesus is the only direct begotten child of God?(b.)
if (a.), beget is the rootword of begotten... so like beget means to procreate/produce... so we are all made by God.
but if you meant (b.)...then, yes Jesus is, like it's said in John 3:16. (For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son and whosoever believes in Him (the son) shall not perish but have eternal life.).

I know that that was kind of long (was it?) but I hope I've broadened your idea on your question^^.

When we say Jesus was begotten that does not mean there was a time when he did not exist. He was at the creation. I was not. So the answer to your question from a theological perspective is an absolute NO.

We are all begotten. Only difference is Jesus was begotten by God. as in he was sired by god and you were begotten by your father.
