if u r looking for peace and holy thinking than adopt hinduism.
many answers here have praised their religion and tried 2 proove that their religion is d best. but hinduism teaches that every religion is respectful and dont hate any religion. so i respect every answerer's belief. hinduism is a religio of peace and tolerance.
so b4 choosing any religion just once try 2 search and read abt hinduism on net. n adopt it only when it has n impact on u.
and 4 a change if u want , plz adopt hinduism.

go to Islam my friend it is a way of peace. some people like "Shanks ing" that answered the question saying Buddhism is peaceful like Islam is not we are not terrorist. It is the extremist that make us look bad don't judge a religion by a group. Of over a billion and a half people. you want to know more read the Koran there is many translated in English if you want to do so. It is the only book that has not been changed through out history of any of the three major religions that believe in one god it has been untouched. one thing to look for is when you read the Koran surha 99 verse 7 and 8 god mentions the atom when this book was reveled to Mohammad from god in 600-650 a.d they have not discovered the atom as you know it was only discovered back in the late 20th century. that is one of examples that tell you that this was written by god because how can a human being know about this 1300 years ago when it was only discovered not to long ago. like i said this is only one fine example of this is the true religion and there is many more if you want to know more email me. come to the fastest growing religion in the world. Look at the religion and examine what you must do to earn your way into Heaven, Enlightenment, Nirvana, Valhalla, etc. After you have done your research pick the one that can assure you that you can reach whatever higher form it offers. As far as I know the only religion that offers that is Christianity, we as christians believe that all people in the world have sinned and fallen short of God's perfect mark, but if you truly hand your life over to Christ you will be saved. There are some that say that this is just an excuse to get to live life the same way you were before you became a christian, but in fact that is not the case. Just like in every other religion you must strive to be good, but you will have the help of the holy spirit to guide you and you will have the knowledge that you are truly saved. Good works do not save you but they prove to the world that you are truly a Christian.

Study every religion and which satisfy or your heart say that is one which I am looking then adopt that religion. Being muslim I suggest you to adopt Islam because Islam has question to every question. Other religion book writen by peoples or they are describe what has happen by the peoples of that time. But Quran has such verses that if you read it, it looks a conversation of ALLAH.Every word has said by himself through his messenger.

All religions are good if you look good in that religion. All Religion preaches love and peace. All are equal. It is human minds which are not equal and finding wrong in other religion.

My personal opinion, never adopt any religion for its perks. even your own religion has a lot of good things to follow. Follow them and reach the eternity.

According to me, religion is something that gives you satisfaction and happiness without sacrificing others freedom and happiness.

Nature made us human, so let's first try to be that.

Not all religions are the same and if they all gave the same result there would be no purpose in having any more than the one true faith. Mere Christianity by C S Lewis give an excellent argument for faith. I recommend you check it out.
