A difficult question I have daily.
To do God's will most often requires a lot of sincere prayer and Bible study.
It helps to be forgiven of all your sins.
You need to search for truth and be sure you are following the commandments of God in Exodus 20.
Most Christians do not understand the truth about the Sabbath commandment so fail on this one each week.
Many Christians think that the new covenant means the 10 commandments of Exodus 20 are not longer a guide to live by and that is a deception. Matt 5:18 explains the law of God remains in effect today unchanged from its original status.
Fasting, christian friends, take action in faith, re-assess are all components of learning God's will for a particular decision.
One thing you can be sure of God's will will not lead you in any direction away from the principles of God's government as described in the Bible. If what you think was God's will is contrary to the principles in the Bible and God's law then what you think or feel is not God's will, but another force that is deceiving you. You must use the Bible as your guide.

Every discision that you make needs to be in accordance to Gods will - This means his laws. Seldom will you have a huge sign telling you what you must do. God says that if you are a child of His - he will give you the desires of your heart, this does not mean your selfish "ol natures" desires but the desires he has put there. These are everyday things, and everyday desires. its not complicated, God gives you discernment on how to distinguish whats wrong and right. Sometimes you will get two wrongs and two rights. And if you make a mistake - God knows your heart, He will lead you right back into his will, because you desire to do the right thing.
Dont stress, I went through this and I almost desired Gods will so much that I missed it. We dont always end up as we like but remember that God is not interested in the adventures of you becoming the most famous pastor in the world or the best gymnast. He is interested in the process thats on the journey. The process that moulds you and changes your character. You will only be perfect in Heaven, dont expect everything to be perfect here.
Gods will is simple, do the right thing, pray about it, once and believe He heard you, then trust that you are in His will and make discisions....were distracted and you made the wrong discision ...then God will bring you back when you repent and try again...Simple.

You can’t KNOW the future and at the same time CREATE the future without it being your will.
According to Christian doctrine (i.e., the Bible), when God created you He knew what you were going to do every second of your life. That is, He knew the future and created the future.
Since God is the creator of all things, and since God knows everything that is going to happen, it follows that He creates things knowing what they will do after creation.
Creation + All Knowledge of What Creation Will Do = Everything is Creator’s Will
If you know the hot stove will burn your hand, but you put your hand there anyway, you can’t blame the stove!
Your Answer:
All of God’s created beings are acting according to His Will. Christians are also God’s created beings, so everything they do is according to His Will.
Unfortunately murderers and rapists were also created by God with His knowing what they would do. It is, indeed, very difficult to accept God as the Creator of all things and at the same time accept His being All-Knowing.

If you have prayed God's will in the passed, you will see God has answered you in the future, then you are certain it was God's will!
I once knew God was telling me to do something that I didn't want to do, each time I began to pray, I couldn't, without this same thought interrupting my prayer for more than a week...I knew if I didn't obey, I wouldn't have the peace I wanted...so, I obeyed on Nov. 19th 2005 and on Dec. 24th 2005 my answer came and confirmed I did the right thing. What a wonderful answer, I knew it was God's will!
I would like to add one last thought, The Holy Spirit will give you peace when you act accordingly to God's will.

It is a tough question to answer. Sometimes we think we are doing GOD's Will and are not. It is something that we need to be in bible, in prayer about it, and seeks GODLY friends to help us. Then it should be clear but there is times that all that does not help make it clear.
