When I used to checkout cities as convention sites for an organization I worked for, I went with my family to Hartford CT to look at hotels and convention areas. We stayed at a fancy hotel adjacent to their Convention Center. Late at night we heard a knocking on the door. it was a homeless guy going from door-to-door panhandling. Cross that city and its unsecure hotels off the group's list.

We have been in Minocqua, WI on a fall weekend. We stayed at a chain inn. The room develop into ok, the a sprint small. We have been given to the inn later interior the night, checked in and went to get some thing to consume. After coming back from supper we've been drained so we retired for the night. approximately midnite we've been awakened to the sound of motorcycles interior the parking. Unbeknownst to us there develop right into a brilliant bike rally on the city. curiously our inn develop into occupied by frequently bikers. I went to talk with the youngster at the back of the front table regarding the noise. There wasn't something he ought to do approximately it. So we had a sprint bit a coarse evening. The inn refunded our money the subsequent morning while we appeared at. The bikers have been nicely behaved. It develop into merely that the sound of sixty 5 Harleys entering a carpark on the comparable time makes a sprint noise.

Many times, Once stayed at an Econo Lodge it was filthy. Just got up during the night and left. The Red roof in West Palm Beach smelled like dog urine and the tub was all stained. I once stayed at a day rate motel because there was nothing else. Doors never stopped slamming all night long.
Have stayed in nice places too. Ambassadore in Florence, Italy. Marriot in Manhattan, list is endless.

Yes.. before I could afford better hotels. I once stayed in a room where the bed had the smell of a cheap hooker.{ not that a high priced hooker would have been any better}. Then, once we stayed in a cabin on the lake..my friend took the bed, I slept on the floor, and woke up to at least 50 mice running around the room, one ran right over my legs...I got up, bitched at the owners, got my money back, and slept in the car.

Yep we got a crappy room one time in Missouri. The room was a mess and the manager was a jerk. There was a hot tub but there was no way I would get in it (it was nasty!). My sister went to a local Wal Mart and bought 2 big containers of Dawn dish soap and snuck down to the hot tub in the middle of the night and poured them in. It was beautiful! HAHA! Jerks!
