prove that Islam is not a religion of peace? Why aren't religious leaders from both sides able to prevent those murders? They can issue a Fatwah to have Salman Rushdie killed, but not condemn the killing of other muslims???

dude both you, sudan is a muslim country with the same problem as well. I and the whole world knows that islam is anything but peace but everyone just loves to live this lie , every muslim that I have run into unfortunatly has turned out to be an asshole but questions like these would make sure that people call the both of us racist , so lets make a pact we will both not see the shortcomings of islam and call it a religion of peace ... ;-)

Does the fact that Irish Catholics and English Protestants kill each other prove that Christianity is not a peaceful religion? It's the wackos that kill each other.

Historically Islam has been more tolerant of sects than christians. probably because there is a strong sufi tradition which trancends usual religious power politics

Europe is littered with civil and international wars on the basis of christian dogma and papal edicts.
even US Boston founded on "tolerance" has also sentenced to death christians for preaching other brands than those in power.

this is what happens when foreign powers put their nose where they shouldn't, using the strategy of divide and you shall prevail.

that's the "master mind" so to say. as for the actual sunnis and shias committing these crimes, sometimes piety is understood with too much passion and, to me, in a wrong way.

im not a muslim btw, much less a terrorist. i just see with sadness that the west does not understand the middle east and viceversa... hence the hatred

People have killed each other since the beginning of time ostensible because of religion. What about the crusades? It has usually been more about money and land than about of religion.

that's only happening in Iraq, and God knows who behind it. Notice: Iraq is in a war and occupied.
