Psalm 137:8-9

8. O daughter of Babylon, O destroyed one, O the happiness of him who repayeth to thee thy deed, That thou hast done to us.
9. O the happiness of him who doth seize, And hath dashed thy sucklings on the rock!

I find it to be absolutely ridiculous that the bible feeds us all kinds of lies and contradictions about "love your enemy", and yet, we see mass slaughter of suckling infants and innocent boys, girls, unarmed men, women (old and young), and innocent domestic farm animals by the tens of thousands! It is clear that the inconsistent man-altered, man-corrupted and morally corrupt bible is nothing but a false book, and can not be a Divine and Perfect Holy Book!

Any comments??

What man has done to the Bible does not mean that the Bible is no longer a holy book, All that means is how stupid man was in trying to destroy such a holy book. I strongly recommend that you check out some of your local libraries, That does have a copy of the original Bible which by the way does include the missing book of the bible, and you will see just how much man has change thing in order that man can maintain control of the people and not God........... And please don't blame God, for what mankind did to obtain power and wealth. Also if you took off your blinders you will see that even with what mankind has done to the Holy Bible it is still a great book with a lot of good information within its pages........ I could never understand why mankind attacks a book and say nothing about what selfish men and woman that really tried to mess things up for mankind. That produce people like you for instance...........

War has always been the final means to an end. You can't have freedom without a fight. Freedom comes at a price sometimes the ultimate price. Once upon a time not so long ago young people knew this and accepted it. Now we have a generation of spoiled children who think freedom is an entitlement or a gift. If you want freedom then you must be willing to fight for it and sometimes even die for it. Because there are those out there waiting in the wings to take it away from you.

Yes, first comment: muslims who do not believe in the perfection of the Bible make me sick.

The Psalmist is here asking God for justice. Surely even your Satan-created allah god can understand justice. It's the same command as in the section of the Bible you'll affirm: Deuteronomy 19:21. God only desires perfect justice and when He executes it, it is perfect.

Biomimetik listed many verses against the perfection of the Bible. To start, people, the greatest of whom was Jesus (and God at the same time), can be more than one thing at one time: mediator, intercessor, savior, etc. Further, the Bible affirms the Trinity by the very verses you site. Jesus, God the Son, talks to God the Father. Jesus, God the Son, came in human form and set aside some of His attributes (Philippians 2:5-11). You also site many verses from separate books and claim that they contradict. How do you know they are telling of the same times/events? You also claim Jesus was only a prophet. If so, then why did He lie: "Before Abraham was, I AM" (John 8:58); "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30).

Lastly, your quote from Isaiah 45:1, what about a few verses before that - 44:6? The Redeemer is the LORD, YHWH in Hebrew - GOD! "Anointed" may not necessitate God but "YHWH" does.

Something for you to contemplate - What did the muslim god do before he created? The True God, the Christian God, had diversity in His unity. The muslim god, when he created, had a new experience of "other" - not very solid, a god whose experience changes him.

The psalm you quoted from was sung by an Israelite who was in captivity in babylon after Israel had been destroyed. The Israelite is expressing his or her frustration and anger towards those who have destroyed his or her country.

People at that time fought absolutely brutal wars. In such wars, even the children were purposely killled so there could be no future retribution.

No where in the psalm do you see god condoning this kind of wwarfare. You are only seeing the type of anger and hatred the people of Israel have in their hearts. Is it any wonder there has yet to be peace in teh Middle East?

Did you forget about the Koran, the Torah, the Vedas, the Tripitaka and more?

The problem is not these sacred writings. The problem is there is a genetic flaw in the human species.

Until it is fixed we will continues to see mass slaughter of suckling infants and innocent boys, girls, unarmed men, women (old and young), and innocent domestic farm animals by the tens of thousands!

Have fun but be safe.

the old testament is a confusing part of the bible that is very contradictory to most people who are not used to reading it. it only reflects the confusion of man and it's sins and how god tries to put order by giving the ten commandments and by delivering them to the holy land, which is supposed to take a short time, but because man then was being such a prat and was whining all the time, they took so long.

whenever i read the old testament it only reminds me how pathetic we used to be until Jesus came.

Psalm 137
1 By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept
when we remembered Zion.

if you hate the Bible so much...why do you read it...you obviously are not a Christian and do not understand the Bible...this is you...

26" 'Go to this people and say,
"You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving."

please take your hate elsewhere...

11 A fool gives full vent to his anger,
but a wise man keeps himself under control.

Any comments?? Sure, The Koran, you know your Holy Book, is commanding to do all these things to Jews and Christians, Yes the PEACE religion, but Muslims do it to other Muslim, as a mater of fact, these and other atrocities were done when Iraq invaded Kauai. In loving our enemies when Muslim Iraqis soldier gave up the christian soldiers didn't kill them, they took them with respect and feed them and then released them, they follow the real holy book.

This world is full of bad stuff. Always has been and will be for as long as it exists.
Jesus, God's own Son, came to Earth as man so as to die for the sins of the entire world, including you and me, so that we might receive the free gift of Eternal Life with the Father. That's Awesome. Have you collected your free gift yet?
