Because the legislation drafted 20 years ago by Ted Kennedy was about as inneffective as all the other hog wash he proposes. I can't believe the Senate came back an bought into this misfit of a senators garbage again on immigration legislation.

Gadds will people get off this anti-immigrant stuff. THEY are not taking your job away - - - - over population of EARTH is the true worry - - - what about mass sterilization instead of mass deportation? Conservatives want to ship out anyone who hasn't been in America for four to six generations BUT they are equally adamant that women should have eight to ten or more children during their life time.
