Why do we need to compare them? People who are successful are successful in their own right... already won the prize.

Good question..but what is your measure of success? And how respresentative is 100 blacks in UK and USA considering that there are more black people in the US than in UK? At the end of the day, I strongly believe that all human beings are the same...we all feel pain, we all need food, shelter and clothing. Instead of just looking at blacks in these rich nations, think of those in Africa. In countries like Kenya, for instance, 90% of the wealth is in the hands of just 10% of the population. Have a look at South Africa...Zimbabwe... to name but a few. Whatever your reason for the comparison, let's not divide the world on the basis of skin colour.

And those who died in New Orleans 'cos they couldn't afford the bus fare to get out? I'm not a fan of statistics, but maybe you should look at the number of blacks in the US as a percentage of the population and compare that to the number of blacks in the UK as a percentage of the population.

Maybe some British black kids are not doing their homework. You set your own goals - get out there, get your 'A' levels and show those white kids what you can do.

you would also find in USA a city called New Orleans where the poor (mostly blacks) have been treated shamefully, so knock off the great stuff about judges and lawyers - it won't wash.
