How can you "cast your cares on God"? I've been bogged down with money issues and every time I ask God to take this burden away from me, I have always been keeping it. Any suggestions?

what sort of money issues do you have? everyone gets bogged down by money issues...even the best of christians.

the thing is, let money work for you and not the other way around. god wants you to depend on him for he is the most provident god. your TOTAL confidence in him goes a long way, but your INVOLVEMENT in looking for the best and correct solutions to your money woes will also do the trick. you and god work together as a team, you do your share by observing and studying your options, spending habits and goals. if you need help on this, ask someone you trust to help you balance your assets and liabilities and work on how to eliminate your liabilities.

next, you pray and have TOTAL CONFIDENCE AND FAITH in him.

if he leads you to it, he will lead you THROUGH it....

good luck!

I'd start by suggesting you look into the Crown Financial Ministries. They have a lot of material you can start with on how to change your finances and for the better. Also I'd ask the question, have you changed your spending habits? You can pray for help but God also wants you to take a role in this as well. He will help you, that is a promise He gives us. Does that mean your money problems will be gone tomorrow? No, but He will help. Seek guidance from someone at church to be an accountability partner for you, someone you trust who can look over your monthly bills with you and help you stay on track. Good luck, it's a tough road but you WILL get through it.

You mean like "Let Go and Let God"? Well instead of worrying and a trying to control everything just lay it on Gods shoulders and do the best you can. Trust that he has a greater plan for you. The Lord won't give you anything that you can't handle. Understand that what ever financial problems you are going through are only temporary. There is a brighter future in store for you.

Sometimes when we pray and ask God for things we never really let go of the issue being prayed about. We still worry and fret over something that he has total control over. Just Let Go. Whatever your financial situation is he already knows. What's the use in worrying and getting all worked up for no reason when he going to deal with it in his timing. Your best bet would be to pray and ask for peace about the money issue and believe and have faith that he will take care of you. Trust me I was in a financial situation before and I had to just be like look God you know the deal please help me...The point is once I prayed and gave it all to him I was blessed. Let go and Let God!!

You not only have to ask but you have to believe it will be. Realistically, GOD knows what you are going through and if he has not removed yor burden it could be because you have not fully trusted him to do so. I have faced MANY finacial woes and GOD has always found a way to help me out. It may not always be how I would have thought to handle it but it gets done. The point is, I do not doubt it will happen once I have prayed about it. Once you have asked him to do it, let it go. Quit worrying about it. If you continue to doubt and worry then you have not truly given it over to GOD and no one can fix something if you hold onto it so tightly they cannot see what is damaged and how best to fix it.

Don't ever give up on your faith in God. He is almighty and powerful. Money problems are common among most people of the world. I am sure that your circumstance is not unique. We all have problems of some sort that we wish would just "go away" but you can't just sit around and blame others, you need to find your own solution and keep the faith in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. I am sure that things could be worse.

God helps those who help themselves. Pray for "his will" and guidance. The money will not fall from the sky but as someone else stated doors may open and you need to be aware of them. Ideas may come to you. People may come into your life that can help you in this area. You may put on TV and see a program that has answers you need- you get the idea. He works through other people but we have to be open to it. Also we have to learn from our mistakes. There is a lesson in this for you- did you learn it? If so then maybe it is time for you to move on. He will let you when you are ready. Remember you are so very loved. peace.

Casting your care upon God means trusting wholly in HIM. Believing in no other and that only him can do it. It may take time but His promise is without repentence. God cannot lie.Titus 1:2, Habbakkuk 2;2

have you ever heard the phrase "God helps those who help themself"? If you believe that you are doing your part and not sitting around or spending money carelessly then God will help you. Maybe it's cuz God wants you to pray more or He wants you to stay desperate for Him. If everything was fine and dandy no one would need God. But believe me as long as you keep asking and believing (also an important factor) He will never leave you or forsake you.

I am sorry to sat that "casting your cares on God" does not mean that God will respond by relieving your troubles... What the saying means it that you accept your burdens in the name of God, and you do so to recognize what God has done for you by accepting his burden by dying on the cross to forgive our sins, and ensure that we will live eternally in His presence. Rather then praying to God to relieve you troubles "pawning your cares on God" try asking God for the strength to endure your troubles as he did so long ago. If you can, imagine what it must be like to have your hand and feet pierced. What it must be like to be scourged (beaten with in inches of your life) and what it must be like to die for someone who hates you and all you claim to represent. This is what God has done for you and when you Cast your Cares on(to) God you acknowledge His sacrifice and seek to repay it in accepting your own troubles and asking His help to get through it. You are not supposed to ask God to take your troubles away but rather thank Him and ask that he give you the strength that you need to persevere.
