office 2004 for mac update 11.2.5 fails to install - any ideas?

with the error message: The installer could not locate the correct version of the software required to install this update......

Could this be because I have installed Excel expander?

Try Stuffit Expander

It maybe because you need something like java to download and install it or perhaps u already have another version already on there

it may be you have a illegal software.
