in downloading bittorrent files, if i download programs with cracks?

If i download programs with keygens and cracks is that illegal. Meaning will the cops raid my house? I havent done any of this but i just want some advice.

1.nah the cops cant raid your house if you are far off the radar that is out of the states ESPECIALLY Chicago

2.downloading cracks is the most DANGEROUS way to get a virus if you must download cracks use a backup computer

3.yes it is illegal but honestly how many people actually read the license agreement? No seriously.
