I have a fluffy white cat called Duchess (not Dutchess). I like the suggestion of Sapphire, a lovely name, or Sapphira but another might be Bianca or Blanche (meaning white) Guinevere (which i think refers to the white again in its meaning) or Candace which also means white. If you want something less "human" then how about Snowdrop?

Dogs have personality, best way to name one is get to know it a little and give it a name that fits. We had a dog named Spinster once simply because he would chase his tail in circles until he got so dizzy he would fall. We also had a cat named Violet because when the sun hit her just right her hair looked purple instead of black. Take some time, get to know your new friend and give them a name that fits. Good luck.

I would wait until you have the puppy, and see what her personality is like before you decide on a name. If you are going to have her registered with the AKC you have up to two weeks to name. Good luck

I agree that it's best to wait before settling on a name. I had about four names picked out for my chi before I got her, names that I really loved ... but when I got her, none of them suiter her just right. I don't know why, she just didn't "look" like any of the names I picked. So I think it's best to see the dog, and see what name comes to you. I was quite surprised by the name I settled on, not one I would normally pick ;) For a white dog though, I really like the name Yuki (yoo-ki)... Japanese for snow.

Fluffy, White, Female Dog (or FWFD for short) would be a good name, I think.
