Ok make your own decorations if bridemaids dresses arent got go onto www.weddingsonline.ie they have great forums and alot of brides buy and sell dedcorations. Make your own invitations its really inexpensive and can be really special. Do you have the d.j. or band yet. Theres two different ways you can go. use your ipod for the d.j. this is inexpensive but i wouldnt recommend it as the d.j adds that bit of something extra to the wedding but you can get a d.j. reasonably priced. Go listen to some new bands you might be able to find a great one you really like and noone at the reception would have heard before and for the exposure they will probably do it fairly cheap. As for decorations you can buy some cheapones on ebay or borrow the ones you like from friends family ect. Instead of doing expensive favours do lottery tickets in little envelopes or boxes. Or I really like the ornaments with the names written on yourselves if you are creative they can be great little gifts.
Most of the wedding seems to be paid for call around check cost for photographers some of the newer less expensive photographers can be just as good as the expensive ones.
A huge misconception is it has to be expensive to be any good. Thats just not the case I paid alot of money for a professional photographer for my wedding and wasnt that impressed with the pics a guest pics though were amazing and those are the ones we displayed on the wall. May I ask where you are getting married contact me if you would like some more ideas weddings on a budget are my specialty

make a budget on wedding party ,from the make up to the reception ,indeed a lot of money ,you might as well save from the main part ,such as wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses with reasonable price but good quality from online store though pay for some time ,it is interesting ,besides about the decoration stuff ,you can make DIY ,it is good . hope good for you !

Just remember after all the food, drink, friends, family, presents, cake, etc you have the rest of your life to wonder why the feelings of emptiness never fully go away and if you change job and meet someone with different views from your husband, regardless how crap they really are, you will find yourself enthralled and end up hanging on this new blokes every word until you stop having sex with your husband, convince him it's his fault, suggest a break and whatever happens next the parentage of your kids will be a question mark in your neighbours and friends eyes until you finally tell your husband about your whorish activities because you can't live with your own guilt.
Best of luck for your big day.

Congrats!
To save money, have your cake made at a supermarket or Wal-Mart. It sounds tacky, but what you can do is have a 1/2 a sheet cake on top of a 1/4 of a sheet cake, on top of an 1/8 of a sheet cake. Then decorate it with flowers. Everyone will think that it is so cool you have a rectangle cake! Any you will save a ton of money.
Good Luck!

you can make or buy your wedding cake you can order 3 different size cakes from marks and Spencer's in either fruit or sponge and add some colour to it your self......(made my own cake when i got married and cook all the food for the reception) make your own button holes by buying the bits you need and cut and wrap with foil works very well .... for the bridesmaids you can usually hire there dresses or see if your friend could make them for you as well some nice dress patterns in places like john Lewis
also have a look at studio catalogue as they do many little extra touches for the day

What else do you need to buy? If the reception is payed for then I don't see the problem. The reception is the most expensive part. You have over 3000 left, get him a tux get your hair and makeup done and call it a day. Geez, your lucky enough to have your reception paid for. Me and my fiance have to pay for everything!!! And we don't make much money either!

I got married in Dec. of 02 and we saved on decorations because the church and reception sites where decorated for Christmas. We also made our own favors. We gave everyone a Christmas tree decoration with our names and the date. We looked on line and it was cheaper for us to write our names on them. You can find so much for Dec. weddings. Oh yeah if you know someone who works at a store with home decorations see if you can borrow the poinsettia's from there. We did this and saves hundreds. Good luck. If you have any questions about a Dec. wedding please feel free to contact me.

congrats
i was married in feb this year, and we were on a budget, to save money we had a buffet rather than a sit down meal.
Also bought the cake from tesco and my mum decorated it, and we gave every1 1 glass of champagne each, then bucks fizz which kept costs down.
and i didn't have any bridesmeaids either
anyway good luck!!!!!!!!!

Are you having bridesmaids? If so, you can get their outfits on Ebay where there are new and worn only once items. Any other clothing and shoes too. I got married last year and bought all my stuff for the wedding and honeymoon on Ebay. You can also get ribbon and balloons, any floristry stuff there too - practically anything! All at greatly reduced prices. Good luck with your wedding and I hope you will be very happy.
