Sounds pretty normal....though in the Soleil household, playing with guns and doing "shooting games" are a strict no-no; my son gets one warning, then any toy that's being used to shoot or otherwise hurt someone (even if it's just pretend) is deemed a "dangerous" toy and taken away for the rest of the day....

My 2 year old son's favorite activity right now is playing with Tupperware, measuring cups, and water (outside). I've always found kids are more interested in every day things (things they see mommy and daddy "play" with) than their toys.

My son plays with a laundry basket like a boat. It's just his imagination. This is a good thing. Give him a few of your pots and pans and cooking spoons. My son loves thoes things to play with.

Kids can make a toy out of anything. Kids' imaginations are simply amazing! I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just steer him toward other toys/games often so that's not all he does or thinks about.

No he is just being a kid and using his imagination. Heck when i was little my mom said that i would play with the toy for a little while then use the box it came in for a fort for hours afterwords.

Buy him another GI Joe or even better a Barbie, then let his immagination run, no kids play with all sorts of things. It is letting him use his immagination, it's normal.

He must have learned that from television. You may want to restrict the programs he sees.
