i've been downloading music from an iPod onto my pc, and i don't like iTunes very much, is there a Windows Media Player Beta plug in that allows it to play those *.m4a (mpeg files) that iTunes uses?

Windows Media Player 11 (Beta), download it here :-)

Then download the Windows Media Bonus Pack, it has oodles of stuff including a MP3 audio converter.... :-)

Users shift from lower to upgraded version of software.
Why would you go reverse by using Windows Media Player after using iTunes.

Try RealPlayer, it supports mp4 formats.

You can use real player it plays that format...OR try downloading a music converter like

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

or look for one from
www.download.com

then convert the files to mp3 format( media player will then be able to play them)
