I am not sure why they stopped this but... I heard it was a saftey issue... But anyway... Does anyone miss the toys that used to come in he cereal boxes. I know that I am an adult now in all. But when I was a kid I used to love digging through the ceral box to see what suprize was inside. Why do they keep taking the fun out of food!

Oh yes! I used to love those toys. They were the major decision maker in terms of what cereal I wanted mom to get. I remember I superhero ring I got once. Spent hours pretending I had superpowers.... the innocence of childhood. Such a loss for the children of this generation.

We still find toys in cereal boxes. Maybe you've just gotten too "old" to buy the "fun" cereals.

Froot Loops had a really cute Toucan Sam toy a short while back. Recently, the Cars cars have made an appearance. Some cereal boxes contain CDs. Some recently have had sports bobble heads. Also, there were these really cute "Wobbles" with most of the cute Disney cartoons represented.

I love the little toys, too. Be sure to read the cereal box carefully, though. There are any number of mail-in offers that appear on the box front, and they can be somewhat misleading.

I also miss the toys that would come in the cereal boxes to me it was one of the best things about eating cereal. But it is always a few that will ruin it for everyone else.

It's an interesting point you bring up.
The words that come to mind are frivolous and exploitation.
People get mis-aligned, look for blame placement, seek out un-earned money and then they find a lawyer who will assist them.
Law is supposed to blind. it is supposed to look at only 'truth'.
I fear that a truth that has been swept away is the truth of responsibility for one's self.
We have tried and legislated so much stuff that we have lost sight of some sense of personal responsibility.
I sense that same loss. Those toys and the act of finding them was fun.
We were robbed of that and from the enjoyment of watching our kids dig for them...
Thanks for the thoughts.

Yeah- my brothers and I used to fight over the toy. Or candy, or whatever they'd put in.
