Etiquette is a system of rules and conventions that regulate social and professional behaviour. In any social unit there are accepted rules of behaviour upheld and enforced by legal codes; there are also norms of behaviour mandated by custom and enforced by group pressure. An offender faces no formal trial or sentence for breach of etiquette; the penalty lies in the disapproval.

Nasty, nasty, nasty. That's just gross and disgusting. Did you know that 80% of dust is from human skin. Yes, that stuff on our tables and shelves is actually small pieces of skin that regularly comes off our bodies. Now, do we want hair and dead skin being brushed onto our dinner table and into the air around us? NO! Please, people, refrain from grooming yourselves in public. Go to the bathroom for this. A little lipstick or gloss at the table is fine. Anything more than that is inappropriate.

Not really. It's her problem if she wants her hairs all over her table. It's strange to brush your hair at the table at a restaurant, but it doesn't annoy me.

Ugh! That's sooo gross! Sick! Hasn't she ever heard of a BATHROOM! That woman is honestly....Gross! That's the only word I can think of!
If I were sitting at the same table with her, I'd politely ask her, "Wouldn't you like to do that in the privacy of a toilet? That way a smaller amount of your hair will fall into my plate!"

Yes.. and putting on make up as well.. Personal hygiene should be taken care of in private. It is incredibly rude at the dinner table.

Can you say - ladette? Worse than annoying. Unhealthy. Probably leaves blobs of boggies under the table as well.

You are right. People don't need her stray hairs in their plates. She should excuse her self and go to the rest room. Nothing like a little vanity to make you look bad!

Yes, it is rude. It doesn't necessarily annoy me, I am just happy not to be dining with her.

Not as long as she isn't sitting at my table. If she were I'd tell her out right to goto that in the ladies room.

not unless she is at my table, and also if nothing like dandruff or bugs are coming out of her hair. I don't really get bothered about too much stuff that strangers do.
