I'm so in love with my sweetie of 2 years. But I have only one problem, he wants to get married and have kids soon. But I told him no were young and we're not the finacially secure. Okay, I come form a middle class-lower middle class family and his mother works 2 jobs. I told already that I want to go to college. But he seems to be not listing to me. What will make him listen?

I know what you are feeling right now. You do not have to leave him, just tell him that college is very important for you and that he too should go. You can't earn a living doing 2 jobs like his mother does. Do not give up on your decision.Tell him how much you love him and that your love will grow even stronger while you are in college.

If he still does not understand, than it is better that you got to know him before the marriage.

Queen from your grammar he trully crucially needs to listen to you and let you go to college.

Threaten to leave him coz am sure you want a better level of life and its important you go to college and get more opportunities for better jobs but i must warn you the more educated you get the better men will come your way and more elite so chances are after your degree you may not love your sweetie the way you do now, because your level of theinking will change and you will view things from a different angle/perspective in my opinion better perspective

good luck tell your sweetie am sorry for ruining it for him by giving you this information

I think you should let him know like hey look im serious about this...U want a marriage u want kids...a family of your own....Well it takes time...We cant rush things.Especially if we're not in a "good" position!!If he doesn't want to take u serious or listen to you then you;ll have no other choice but to leave...Maybe not 4 good but you both need time to think and talk about this together

just let him know how serious you are about going to college and that you will not get married to him until you are done with college.that way he will see how serious you are about it and will have to make his decision to support you or move on to someone else.if he doesnt support you then i guess it wasnt meant to be.your dreams are more important right now than jumping into marriage be4 y r ready

It takes two to agree. He must realise that, otherwise it could destroy what you have.
