skip the processed foods and junk food. eat brown rice, whole wheat bread and lots of fruits and vegetables. limit the sweets and the sodas too. drink lots of water to fill you up and exercise, exercise, exercise!

you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Sounds crazy but it's true, if you eat smaller meals more often it will boost your metabolism and help you to lose weight faster. for example instead of 3 large meals every 4-6 hours, try eating 5/6 small meals every 2-3 hours followed with 6-8 glasses of water or atleast water based drinks. Coffee, Tea, even Kool-Aid is water based and a million times better than soda. In case you don't enjoy plain water. Also try not to ban yourself from anything that you like to eat, that will only make your body and mind crave it therefore you set yourself up for diet failure when you cheat, instead eat everything you want just in smaller portions. Once you boost your metabolism and get exercise involved you'll be able to eat ANYTHING you want without consequences. Walking is better than running. GOOD LUCK!!
