Definitely see a doctor. She could be diabetic, or have hyperthyroidism. It could also be poor nutrition. Only a doctor could make that call.

Not seeing a doctor would put the child at serious risk. Feeding her/him more is not the answer.

Is she unhealthy? She may become the envy of people in her school with a thin figure without worrying about it so you will want to be supportive and make sure she jsut eats what she needs to stay healthy.

Also keep an eye out whether she might be belimic, i don't know the age of your child but it might be a factor. If not then she just has a high metabolism, make sure she gets excercise but eats to cope with it, and then just leave her be I think.

You didnt mention her age.

Normally, kids below six years do not put up weight fast, their systems accept only the required amount of the food till they reach six, after which the body demands more nutrition and they start adding weight exponentially from there on.

In any case, it is better to consult a paediatrician and have a thorough check.

Gaining weight is related to age also, if your child is upto 5-6 years, then you can make some dishes which are nutritious and similar to taste of her like.

You can also make some deals by making her to eat and then reward her with something which she really likes.

Hope it will be guideful.
