My fiance proposed to me on my birthday at my surprise party he threw me at a night club...... no it was not intimate because all of the people were there. But that made the moment the best moment in my life......me starring into his beautiful brown eyes while on one knee. he was so nervous (his voice carried a shrill as he asked the question), he put the ring on the wrong hand. But I knew he loved me......it was like the earth stood still at this moment....all was quiet and for a minute, it was as if we were the ony two in the club. OMG, when I said YES Booby! Everyone was so amazed, they didn't know he was going to propose, people strted crying and hugging and carrying on..... It was one joyous day to remeber.

My husband never did propose. One night we were arguing about something (can't remember what), and he sarcastically yelled "what the ***** do you want to do, get married?!?" to which I (just as sarcastically and angrily), replied "oh yeah sure, whatever". He then walked out of the room. The next day I asked him if he had been serious about what he said and he said " **** I don't know". The next day I asked him again if he had meant it and he said " I guess whatever". We got married a year later. Four years later and I'm still waiting on a wedding ring and/or engagement ring. It's never gonna happen though. Guys --- DON'T DO THIS --PLEASE PROPOSE TO A GIRL AND BUY HER A NICE RING!!!!! Remember 3 month's salary is the proper etiquette for amonut spent on a ring!

My husband proposed to me outside in a beautiful garden were we'd had our very first kiss, it was so romantic, the moon was bright and the stars were twinkling and you could smell the night scented stocks all around, of course I said yes, we celebrated with a bag of chips to share at, a bottle of wine back at his moms and almost 22 years later I wouldn't change that night or him for all the money in the world.

My first husband proposed by a waterfall in Scotland, he read me a poem by Tennyson. My second husband proposed when he was drunk in the pub by asking me "When are we getting hitched then?" I am now divorcing him as well.

And I do not know where they ar getting that etiquette dictates 3 months salary for an engagement ring, that is so not true, it is one month, and even that is too much money unless you earn a fortune.

My husband took me on vacation to 1000 islands. We did a day trip to one of the islands called "heart island" and while we in one of the old mansions on heart island my husband handed me a gift box - inside the most beautiful ring I ever saw. I of course said yes and this November will be our first wedding anniversary.
