Why should i let Religion dictate my life. I am a free minded person and i do not like when people or books writen thousands of years ago tell me what i should i do with my life, how to live my life, and what i can and can not do. I belive that religion destroys our individualist mind and body by telling us what to do and what to belive in. Millions have died since man has "invented" religion because they did not belive in the other person's Religion. why should i belive in some thing that might have dout or no one really knows what is right?

You shouldn't.
You can live a good and moral life without having any sort of religion in it. If those who didn't follow religion were as "immoral" as people claim, the streets would be lined with bodies of those busybodies who get up in your face to try to tell you how immoral you are.....

Are you saying that the belief that the life that now animates you having spontaneously arisen from nothing billions of years ago, does not dictate the way you live your life?
Are you saying that you prefer to live your life dictated by a book written 150 yrs ago and already out of date? Or the textbook written last year saying "we now know" and is already out of date? Or the textbook "capitulating" known fraudulant data because it is still insructive for the theory as a whole?
Me? I prefer to take my dictate from the book that has remained unchanged for millennia and the spirit that breathed it. The very same that provided the society and freedom you use to ask the questions you do. The very same that provided the science that you may well try and use to discredit it

If you study the main religions of this world you will find most ask the followers to live by rules which actually help one be a good person. Treating family, & neighbors with respect & care are good things. If this is truly the bottom line of religion, I ask you, what is WRONG with it?

Religion should not dicate anyone's life! God gave us free will. Jesus said to Peter "upon this rock I will build my church" He told Peter and the other diciples to "go out in the world and preach the gospel." Oh, brother did they get it all wrong! You are firstly a spirit with a body (not the opposite) and you are free to choose the path you wish. Terrible things have been done in the name of "religion" the source of peace, happiness and a good life is;
follow your creator, whom ever you think him to be and forget the religious money spinners.
there is a nice verse in the Bible for you "When you pray, pray in secret and your Father will reward you in secret. Do not be like the hypocrites that go about in the streets praying and saying how good they are. Know the truth and the truth will set you free. I am trying not to preach; Be yourself, simple, kind and unpretending.

if you ask god into your heart he lives in you with his spirit therefore you should live your life the way god would.
sometimes as a born again christian you can do some things wrong if you dont think about what you are doing, but then you will feel guilty because you know that you have sinned against god but god will keep on forgiving you as he is a god of love and he will give you many chances. live you life every day with the Lord God Amighty.

If, by your question, do you mean, "Why should I let God run my life?", then the answer is simple. If you are doing ok running it, you should keep right on doing it.
Those of us who gave in to God and accepted that He had been right all along came to a point where we knew we couldn't run our own lives successfully. So we chose God. Turned out to the the best decision I ever made.

I live by values, not religion. What you may call my "religion" simply supports my values, it doesn't govern my life. I don't really like using the word "religion", it's to broad of a term for me. It's like saying "love". What love would that be?

Religion is life, your way of life.
Your question is really about whether you should allow a Church to govern your daily life.
Religion is Law, is Politics, is society, is how you choose to live, and your choice is your God, and that is why Islam is submission to the Will of Allah, Who is The Only True God, and Islam is not a Church and has no clergy, and those Islamic websites with their Jesus versions of the Quran are false and misleading.
Islam is between the person and his/her Lord, Allah.
In Islam you pray for yourself and no man prays for you.
In Islam no man dies for your sins but you are held responsible for your own salvation.
Your fear and confusion is the result of Christian up-bringing and you need to free yourself of worship of false Gods and wolves in sheep's clothing, and live your life to please your Lord and let no man come between you and your Lord.
Man did not invent religion but man was made of freedom of choice and man was given intelligence and was not made to be lazy and dependent on other men to do his thinking.
Save yourself and live the religion that you were created for, for we are all born Muslim, but we must come of age and think and act for ourselves.
"He is of age: ask him: he shall speak for himself." (John 9:21)
Will your parents allow you to speak for yourself?

Catholics do no longer; we expect of for ourselves, yet carry on with the Church on theological necessities. The clergy actual does not runmy existence. while you're adressing fundies, why no longer say so? difficult to spell,or what? besides,i understand various atheists - all of them prototypical upscale city liberal varieties - and THEIR lives are completely, completely and thoroughly ruled by using the mass media. in spite of if information or entertainment,it somewhat is their god and it somewhat does administration their lives. they suspect something they are instructed,do something they are instructed, etc. Newspapers, television and magazines do all their questioning for them. So who're you adult men to communicate?
