I wait for it to refill so I can flush the rest down. That's better than leaving it there for the next person.
I don't worry about the smell. All people need to do #2 and it stinks after all people. It's just a natural thing, so why be embarrassed about the smell? It's not like their sh!t smells any better. Don't worry about it.

Yes, a good point. There should be an extractor fan if there are no windows, and air freshener should be available - perhaps the type of block which is fixed to the wall. Employers - look after your personnel! No - one likes going into a smelly loo! How about a word with your boss, or union representative? Or maybe the girls could club together to purchase what's needed?

well If u had to flush more than once u can stay inside for a while and try to get rid of the smell, I usually carry a small perfume so that when someone comes after me, he wouldn't be disgusted. After u spray the perfume or comb ur hair in the toilette, u can try to flush it again...if u're in a hurry I suggest u throw a tissue so that nothing would appear for the next person, but i don't recommend that since it may clog the toilette...but remember to always carry a small perfume with u:)

I'd carry a lighter and and air freshner if it was that much of an issue for you. Can you talk to your boss about having a candle in there? How about air freshner - what is the problem with that? Why can't you have a fan? Get a can of "oust". Spray it for 10 seconds right before you leave. You won't be disapointed.

Well, there's nothing much you can do about the smell. Except maybe the matches trick - have never tried it, but had heard about it.
I think the only really annoying thing is when people don't check if anything is still floating, or if traces have been left on the walls of the toilet. That's just gross. My flatmate never checks, and I thik it's just gross. Above all because I always find something that he "left" when I wake up in the morning.

Lol we have this problem at work cos our loo is right behind reception in full view of the waiting roon. I try to go before i leave for work so to avoid that!
If its not always possible then just try to make a joke of it. After all it is only natural and everyone has to go eventually ha ha

There's nothing you can do. It's a "public" toilet and other users should be prepared for anything. Someone taking a dump should not come as a big surprise to them.
How about bringing a small air freshener with you the next time.

I don't understand this too--you gotta flush every couple of seconds to not stink up the whole bathroom, and I bring a small air spritz in my purse and a gel sanitizer to wipe the seat before and after.

There's nothing you can do!! Toilets are made for that purpose exactly! If the loos don't have any windows...tough luck!!
You could take your own personal air freshner if you're really worried!

Make sure that you have a lighter or a box of matches in your handbag, (always take your handbag to the loo with you) light the lighter or a match, it will burn off the smell.
