I know that any female mammal will produce milk, but it puzzles me that we have been farming pigs for thousands of years and it has been shown that pigs and humans are biologically very similar in a lot of ways so i presume pig milk would be better for humans than others. But no-one ever seems to milk pigs. Sheep, goats, cows etc are all milked but not pigs.

Its not that it can't be done - th issue is that its not as easy to do as it is with Cows (or even goats) due to their biology and there for not economical. The price of pigs milk would be outrageously high making it cost prohibitive. I wouldn't be suprised if a gallon of pig's milk would be $100.00 even with very low demand.

I don't think pigs produce milk all the time like cows do. Only when they are nursing.
