am sorry to say that..
but yes it does...
i was 13 when i started lifting weight..and since that age my height is still the same..
look, lifting weights at this age affects your height, but it builds a great body..
since then my height is still the same, but i do have a strong body.. even though am not lifting weights anymore..
but its true that it builds strong muscles no matter how old you get..

my advice is that you lift weights but never too much weight..
and avoid lifting wights when standing.. i prefer when u r laying down or sitting..
but dont life over your head..
plus, have too much proteins and calcium..
u need it..

Good Luck Champ..

When I started doing weights I was warned not to over do it as it could stunt my growth....it hasn't and im not sure if this was a rumour to stop me hurting myself or whatever but check it out and take it easy.

14 is a good age to start with weights and with proper nutrition and depending on genetics is should increase your height.

no, but you should do everything in moderation. if you have overdeveloped muscles for a fourteen year old, you will appear short. do not increase the weights only the number of sets and repetitions.

it only effects your height when you lift the weights to your sides or up in the air....becuase then the weight pushes down on your body...becip curls are fine....
