make all the bread into sandwiches and tell the child it is plain bread

forcing the child to eat something else will only make him more resentful and resistant. instead of not offering bread at all, give them a smaller amount on their plate with their meal. do set boundries like "you have to eat half of this and 3 bites of that before you can have anymore bread." they'll still get upset, but it won't be as bad as denying them bread all together. remember, a child will eat, and bread is not unhealthy, he will eventually grow out of it.

Presentation - Make funny faces or clown faces with other food. When kids see it, they will like it.

For kids, best to have some (not too much) sugar in their food. Good for growing up. Kids have the tendency to take to sweet things.
