What is the Fathers (god) way?

Ok, so im not a christian or anything. im just currious. My friends mom stumped me with the question whats the fathers way....Like god...? What is his way? like...OMG i dont know..help me please?

Generally speaking, God's way is found in God's word, the Bible.

Spiritually speaking, Jesus said, "I am the way........"

In a nutshell it is "The greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and to love your neighbor as yourself."

Be careful of those who would sell you a religion out of a book, especially one written by a bunch of dead old men in a foreign language.

And you might ask yourself "What is the Mother's way?" Remember that Mom, that primal Eve, has sent parts of her cell - the mitochondria - up to you generation after generation. You get all those mitochondria (the powerhouse of the cell) only from your Mom. Even boys only get theirs from their mom. Think on that for awhile.

If you were going to buy a car, you would not just buy the first one someone offered you. Nor should you decide on a religion or spiritual path just on the first one offered. Next time you are in a mall, stop by a bookstore. Ask about some of the "Complete Dummy's Guides" to Wicca, Buddhism, Taoism, Judaism, whatever. At least look through them and see what they offer. Don't be put off by the title, I am far from a dummy and I use them as an intro to several subjects.

Remember, when a preacher tells you to look up, he probably has his hand reaching for your pocket.

I have had two direct experiences with what folks call God, the Indescribable Light, sort of Life-After-Life things. That Being did not much need religion.

But whatever you do, I think you personally will be ok. Your 360 stresses one word: Love. That makes you pretty danged special. Keep with that one word.

Hello LaurieLoo!! :o) Your friend's mom planted a 'seed' in you and now it's starting to take root. That's how faith in God begins. Don't fight it. Just water it by asking more questions. This is a good thing. Like someone has already said, God's way is that we love Him, love others AND love ourselves!! ["Love your neighbour as you love yourself"] You know something? God's ways are found in His word the Bible. i guess in reference to your particularly situation it would depend on the scenario (like what was your mother making that comment in reference to). It was almost kind of like a What Would Jesus Do kind of question.

i have to agree with PDman ... gods way is love
not books , not churches , not any specific faith ...
but pure love
i totally respect each religion don't get me wrong
but i don't feel any are the right or wrong way ... just whats right or wrong for that particular person
love yourself , love other people and respect them ... I'm sure this is gods way xx

Sounds like you are searching, thinking about what G-d's way might be for you......

Talk to Him....tell him that you are looking for His way for your life. Then ask him what it is. And He will surely show you. He may not show you right away, but in the time that is right for you.
