Add a tiny bit of blue stainer, this is quite cheap in the DIY shops. If you want to warm up a white you can add a tiny bit of yellow and if you want to make it seem fresh and clean, you can add a tiny bit of green.

You may think you have white paint, but you may not, it could be a little off white. You could put some of the paint you have now on a stick, take it to the paint store, and ask them about it. Just look at all the different shades of white, and see if it is any whiter than your color, when you put the stick with your color up against it. If you have a true white, then there is nothing you can do, you got it now. There really are a lot of different shades of white, you wouldn't think so, but it is true. Take it from someone who has painted (for myself) many, many times in many, many diff. houses. Good luck.

Be careful - I've seen stark white paint that overwhelms everything around it.
With the right design elements, you can make the white stand out. Do some research - many of the summer issues of design/decorating magazines show how to decorate around white.
Have fun...

1. protect it from dirt and dust particles.
they tend to change the bright white to dull white.
2. dont use salt water for mixing and cleaning of the surface to be painted. these salts can react with the paint and change the true color.
3. allow proper day lighting.
your walls will reflect light which will make the white even more whiter!
