Very tart and refreshing, absolutely scrummy poached with green apples, and served chilled with vanilla icecream......
On its own has a tendency to make your mouth feel as though its just stripped all of the enamel off your teeth.

the best thing ever, it is my favourite. it is very tart, sour, but when sugar is added, it becomes beautiful...the color is a bright beautiful red, and it is tender when cooked...nothing quite like it!
