Help with getting a car...?

Anyone know where I can get help trying to get a car? I'm 5 months pregnant and I know I'm going to need a car to take me and my child to the doctors, me to work, and her to family members houses to stay awhile. Is there any program for soon to be mothers out there that can help me?? Thank you =)

I'm not sure of any charities that will help, but you might want to check your local auction house. They repo. some NICE cars and auction them off for a fraction of what they're worth.

You can also try one of those "Buy Here, Pay Here" places. They usually have decent, reliable cars and don't require much of a down payment. If your credit is poor, your interest rate will be a bit higher, but those places will generally work with all credit types.

Your only other option would be to scrape up several hundred dollars and buy an old beater...something to get you from point A to point B, which is what it sounds like you need. Just be careful if you do this to take your dad or brother or someone with you so they can check out the car first. You don't want to get one with an exhaust leak that leaks into the cabin of the car, or something like that.

There MIGHT be other Social Service Organizations that could help you!

Salvation Army, Goodwill, Good Samaritan Ministries, Local Churches, United Way etc.

Where exactly are you located?

i think the salvation army helps. i hear advertisements sometimes that they will take donation cars and fix them for other people. good luck sweetie
