I'm going on a set up date this weekend with a doctor and want to make a good impression. Is the woman's career important? I'm a beauty therapist. So not high powered like him but I am smart.

FYI I didn't specifically ask or desire to date a doctor. I date any nice guy, no matter what the job, but of course I don't like men who treat or talk to women like pigs. The guy's mother asked my mother for us to go on a date ok. The reason I'm asking for advice is that I find doctors aloof and intimidating and wasn't even sure if I wanted to go but will out of respect for my mother and her friend.

My boyfriend is studying medicin as well...and I should tell you all what Brian told you about your first date , is right !
I should tell you also that doctors including my to be doctor boyfriend are really difficult kind of people...
They are tidy and they love time.
They dont like fatty meals or choclate...
They adore intelligent girls but also happy one as well,
The biggest problem infact is that they work in the hospital with other pretty cool intelligent women like nurses and doctors...this is really bad because they can cheat easily without you can know about it..I prefer seaman to doctors lol
And some doctors is seen to be stingy and money lovers.
They expect you to be always with grace , nice and smile.
Intelligent healthy conversations is a must.
and a good job and profession is really important to them.
Doctors are really proud and snobbish people and you should admire them all the time..
for instance ..every time when I call my boyfriend..oh darling Mr Doctor, he smiled at me with joy and love.
and by the way doctors love to have gentle wife ,always be there for him...and be caring with him..

Doctors are just like most people in a lot of aspects. Typically, they are pretty involved in their work, and are fairly intelligent and confident. I would think that your profession wouldn't matter, but it really depends on the individual, personally I don't think it will.
Just remember that if who you are isn't good enough, it's the other person's problem, not your own. I think you seem to be a smart, considerate, and caring person. You should be proud of who you are and what you do, and anyone with half a brain will find that attractive.

I would say as long as you are focused on your career and bettering yourself, he'll be interested. I'm sure he gets enough women who are only out for his money. You sound like you are well grounded with goals. Just be yourself!

Ummm, maybe they like healthy women. Someone who doesn't have any serious diseases. If your going on a date, wash your hands before and after you eat. Or else, he might think that you love eating bacteria. Also pay attention on what you order for your meal. Order something with lots of veggies and fish. And don't eat too much of the dessert. I'm not sure all about this but It's all I know.
