So what you're suggesting is that the most compassionate and morally correct people on Yahoo Answers ... in real life deal in bestiality and human trafficking?

No, I don't think all of them are like that.

That's interesting. I was thinking the same thing the other day...a waitress asked a question about something she did and the customer got real mad. She asked if anyone else woulda got mad at her. And of course everyone said "why no, I wouldn't get mad." I've worked in retail and I have seen how horrible customers can be and I wondered if all those people really are as nice as they say they are..or say they would be. Hopefully they are.

I think that the anonymity of online interaction allows people's underlying personalities to come out even more, because there aren't as many of the mores that prevent people from saying something bad to each other.

However, it is easier for a person to conceal his/her true intentions online, which means a mean person might act nice if he/she has an ulterior motive.

I don't think people are the opposite of what they are in every day life while online, but I do think that they're different. I think they maybe let out the real them online, while in every day life they are constantly trying to please others and fit in with the rest.

If I was horrible in real life and nice on line, I wouldn't be married for the last 5 years.

I have to be nice to people all effin day.
On here, I can be as cold and cruel or as nice as I want to be.

I can ask good questions and hope for good answers. I can give others a good answer or...
I can ask stupid questions and laugh my @ss off at some of the stupid answers.

There are also people with more than one account.. a different personality for each one.

Very VERY Scary......

I think that's the other way around....people are nice in everyday life and take out their frustrations online.

I'm not. It depends on the questions on here. Sometimes I'm nice sometimes I'm not. Same goes with everyday life. I'm generally a good person till somebody makes me mad.

I don't think so. I think people are nice online becasue they are nice people. Sure, some will try to fool you but not the majority.
