It takes two to tango.... when you feel real hurt, best way is to step outside of it, and move on. Sumtimes talking to others might help, but i wouldnt advise it. Keep it all inside, till you tell yourself that you are above him/her and wont stoop to the level of lashing back in anger or desperation. Sleep, pick up your favourite book, watch movies, take a vacation, travel, spend time with family etc. etc. eventually, a day, a week later, it will not feel as bad as the first day when it would be heartwrenching..... time is the best healer.

Well am the one who should be asking this question. cause when someone (i care for) hurts me i feel sooo sad and hurt at the heart exactly like you said i even feel that i cannot breath normally. Any way my answer to you is that whoever hurts you do not deserve you, so forget about them. Of course i prefer talking to the one who hurt you and get things clarified. If it turns out that he/she did it on purpose or if they did not acknowledge your hurt / pain and made fun of it. Then put them behind your back and know from now on who are you dealing with... Be good to the good and be worst with the bad.

First i let the pain inside of me, i don't deny or supress it.
I try to tell the other person what i feel about it.
If the communication breaks down, i restraint my anger
Then i do some exercise
Next, i analyze what i learned from that experience and what i am going to do when similar situation happens again.
If pain is still there, I pray and throw it in heaven.
Lord catch this

One try to understand the nature of the relationship, two, remind yourself that they are human and cannot be strictly predictable in behaviour. Three, pick up yourself and be on your way by accepting the reality that they have hurt u but it is not the end of the world. There is a lot out there that is waiting for you.

If you're thinking of something in particular, perhaps you'd have to be more specific. But in general, when somebody hurts me, I try to determine first if it was on purpose or not. If it was, that person is immediately dead for me, for good. If it was not on purpose, I usually express my feelings to that person, so they try to change whatever they've done.

You talk about it ...you cry about it....you own your part in it....you pray about it and you try to let it go. Pain has to be processed. Confess, reconcile, release and surrender. Otherwise it will hold you captive. Hope you can process the pain and let it go. It may take some time.

The person did not understand you or else he would not have hurt you , also maybe you have not projected your image correctly for a person to take you lightly and hurt your feelings
