What do you mean by "not a food person"? Problems with chewing? Prefers sweet, or salty? Preferes mashy, liquid? Makes a lot of "restrictions" and hold them for a long period?...
The pediatritian said to me
"Make him hungry"
"For how long is it safe?"-I asked.
"Within 3 days he'll decide to eat whatever you offer him."

let her eat pretty much anything she will eat, however only offer pretty healthy foods, not junk food or all processed food any tupe of fruit or vergatable. dont freak out if she wants food cold my 6 year old to this day will eat peas frozen right out of the freezer for an evening snack, also waffles she doesnt like warmed up at all ( I know its weird but what the heck it dont make it any healthier to heat it up) they have tiny stomachs so aim for a more balanced day as opposed to a balanced meal (ton of fruit for breakfast, ton of veggies at lunch mostly meat and breads at dinner) it will all balance out in the end just again make sure you are offering her healthy choices because a kid that gets to pick from nothing but junk food and treats will only eat junk food (my daughter also will get a whole bag of m&m's eat a few and close up the bag for later, I swear its because she was always taught that bodies need food to run and junk food doesnt let your body run well, there is room for sweets and treats after the healthy stuff, and she knows she will get the goodies cause she eats great most of the time (her new fave thing is lime grilled salmon that my boyfriend makes, but she wont touch a fish stick if its the last food on earth) also take to the veggie market or farmers market and let her pick out some new veggies to try (alot of them are organic there so she can snack a little while you shop, just weigh the bag before hand so your not ripping off the store hahaha)

Honestly, our doctor once told me that at this age we should aim for the equivalent of 3 balanced meals a week...meaning the whole week's intake should equal three good meals!
Kids this age sometimes must be offered a food DOZENS of times before they will try it. Totally normal. Be patient and don't allow yourself to get into a power struggle over it. You are responsible for offering her healthy options and she is responsible for deciding what/how much to eat.

baby will eat grapes and raisins. dry cereals sweet kind with little marshmallows. baby will eat tomatoes and chicken nuggets all cut up in tiny pieces. try creamed potatoes with butter and real cream and really creamy too. this is all divine inspiration and also a little bit of knowing how my finicky eating niece and nephews were at that wonderful age, and two of their kids are 3 and 5 now, so it's all good. and if you can and know about new orleans type foods. make that baby some creole shrimp with gumbo on the side, thats for you, but they like the rice, they eat it all plain, you'll love the cuisine. try that one for you and one for me game. try the hrere comes a car with a clown, open up. here comes a train with a poney, here comes a motorbike with me and you.. they love that! goodluck, it'll work also buy those baby ensures that have all the stuff they need in it for their health, the vanilla is real good, you can't loose...

I have the SAME problem. My daughter is 20 months old. She only eats Ellio's Pizza, French fries, raisins & junk food like Cheeze its & Cheese curls. She tried chicken last week by my extreme excitement. She ate 3 or 4 pieces. She has not wanted it since. My dr told me it's okay to give her pizza for lunch & dinner. She will eat the baby food apple sauce & the Gerber oatmeal cereal for breakfast. GOOD LUCK!!!1

my son is 2.5. all he ever wants is white rice with soy sauce, or scrambled eggs with rice and soysacue, chicken noodle soup with no chicken, vietnamese noodles (which are flavored noodles like pork flavored, chicken flavored, beef flavored, the noodles are actually made from the broth of that type, not just the condiments.. you really dont need condiments bc its already flavored, and heloves japanese udon noodles. that and baked chicken nuggets and corn. or real mac and cheese. My son would literally sit there and pick out all the lil black pepper if theres any in a bowl, pick out onions, wont eat anything red in color like ketchup or tomatoes? will eat green grapes, skinned apples or pears, and mandarin oranges. my friends kids are also noodle fans and rice fans.. find out what your kid likes, one day try noodles, the next try rice (make sure its soft rice), try some soup. you'll be suprise. Im still trying to get him fully off the bottle, thats all he wants if he doesnt have any of the above listed. youre not the only victim of kids who are picky picky eaters. i always bribe my son. and sadly it works! hope some of these works for your baby. good luck

my daughter is the same way (she is 21 months old). I try giving her a variety of foods. try boiled eggs, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, cream of wheat, crackers, raviolis or spaghetti and meatballs - and don't worry let her get dirty and make a mess......

O.K this one is fairly easy. My oldest son(now10) and my baby girl(now7) went through this. Its pretty normal for toddlers to go through this stage. My family Dr./pediatrician told me to just feed them what they WILL it and as they get older their palette and appetite will expand.
