That doesn't make sense. Asking people out is a common thing. The only way you can come of desperate, is to ask him out to a cheap hotel or something.

Dont be over-bearing. That is a turnoff. Like dont blab to him all the time. I hate that. Just ask him calmly.

you're just worried about the approach. just suck it up, walk right up to him and ask him out. he'll possibly be caught off guard, which would be great.
besides, what could you possibly lose? if he rejects you, just remember, there are plenty of _other_ worms in the dirt
