so he's not techincally my b/f but we've been together for a year (very complicated situation and i dont want to get into all of it) but anyway, hes turning 21 in september and i dont know what to get him. he spent 50 dollars on me for my b-day but i dont really know if i should spend that much on him. any ideas i would really appreciate it! he's really into grilling, just moved into a new house, likes music - but is really picky in the types of things and i dont want to get him something he wont ever use. ahhh! guys say girls are hard to shop for.

send him a pair of panties or some lingerie for him to keep at his place. or if he has a naughty maid/teacher/cop fantasy, get him the coustume and play it out for him. This is all assuming you two are sleeping together.
If you aren't, then how about taking him out to dinner or a concert? If thats not an option, buy a CD of some music he likes, an iTunes gift card is less personal but is always appreciated, and maybe some new supplies for his grill.

Something totally useless, but vaguely meaningful. Nothing worse than getting something that you are suppose to use but you don't, or something that you forget where it came from. A nice steiner would be appropriate for 21. I have to agree with the the guys on the board, that a new pair of panties for yourself would also be memorable if you are planning on moving in that direction anyway.

think of movies he likes, dvds are good, or a personal gift like pictures of the two of you in a scrapbook with quotes in it. if you can find quotes describing how you feel about him put them in there. i know it seems strange but most guys would appreciate something like a scrapbook because it is very personal and shows you care a lot. Or you could get make a coupon booklet saying you will make a dinner for him, maybe grill something, or clean a room in his house, give him a backrub, etc. Be creative :)

Get him something that he will appreciate. Its the thought that counts. Say something that tells him that you like him in more ways than other.

You know, I agree with Timebomber. Get yourself one of those erotic clothing things, wait for him at his house, and after he gets home, give yourself to him, thats what I would want for my birthday.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmm, i'm not sure, but maybe you can buy him an mp3 or mp4... you could try that... or maybe a wallet... it's harder to find gifts for guys than girls..
