"G's" can also refer to weight or gravity... Sitting at your puter you feel only 1 G... (1 gravity)..
When you fly you feel more than 1 G.. Fighter pilots some times feel 6, 8 10 G's.. That means they are 6,8,10 times there normal weight...
In space you feel 0 G's.. there is no weight..

in addition to being thousands, g could mean gigabyte or g's are also a measurement of gravity. If your pulling 2 g's, you're experiencing 2x the force of gravity.
