Ali...yeah, if Tyson got in early and often he might have a shot, but Ali was too quick, and could probably keep Tyson off him with jabs and moving around...not putting Tyson down at all...he was a monster at his peak, but Ali was a far better boxer and not all that bad a puncher...and while he tragically paid for it, he could certainly take a beating...Tyson would get more frustrated than he did with Holyfield, even...
note to jason_d: you can't honestly tell me Tyson didn't fight his share of pushovers to pad that record, can you? Superior quality? Ever hear of Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, George Foreman? (in their primes I think Frazier and Foreman would have given Tyson more than he could handle also)

Ali in his prime was a very talented and tactical fighter, while much of Mike Tyson's career has been built around his brute force. That is why he lost to Hollyfield when he was past his prime and Tyson was on the tail end of his. I think it would be a good fight though, but I believe that Ali would have the upper hand throughout the fight unless Tyson got a lucky hay maker in.

Hah?? Ali? Nooooooo. Anyone who knows anything about boxing will have to say Iron Mike. I think people being people will say Ali because of his legend status. What Mike Tyson had accomplished in his career and the superior quality of fighters he demolished outshines Ali's accomplishments. Tyson's downfall was his personal life and being sent to jail as well as the ear biting crap etc.
Marketable, likeable, role model- Ali
Winner- Mike

Ali would beat him handily. Tyson only beats bums and loses to great fighters. Ali is the opposite.

Tyson. You're talking about their prime? Tyson was unbeatable in his prime, regardless of whoever your threw at him, and he massacred those people too. Too bad his prime was short-lived.
