if they are follower of jesus should they be wearing a headshot of jesus instead of a symbol that was worshipped way before under a god name zeus?
coming to think of it..... is it possible that jesus is nothing more than "ja" from the word jehova and "ues" from the zeus to make it yet another cult under judaism like what jehova witness have done under christianity?

a: i am not an atheist, if you dont have a good agrument to make dont make false claims like you christ lovers do most of the times i believe there is a higher power way much better than the currupted bible tells you to believe so

my question is very much valid
think about it.... first of all god didnt have to kill anyone he could have said "ya'll peeps are free from sins from today" and even if he did this is actually a joke to jesus for carrying around and sleeping with a symbol that KILLED him

Jesus almost certainly died while impaled on a simple stake, rather than a cross of two intersecting beams. Of course the Romans had the ability to create such devices, and probably did. But ask yourself: why they would have bothered when a simple stake would have worked just as well or better?

It is also enlightening to examine other relevant Scriptures.

You may be interested to see how your own copy of the bible translates Acts 5:30, Galatians 3:13, Deuteronomy 21:22, 23, and Acts 10:39. The King James, Revised Standard, Dyaglott, and Jerusalem Bible translate the instrument of Christ's death simply as "stake" or "tree" because the original wording simply does not support the idea that this was more than a piece of upright wood.

It is also eye-opening to examine how the first-century Christians felt about idols of any kind, much less one that glorified an instrument of death.

There are several types of crosses to go around . following you line of thinking then any religion that has a cross as one of its symbols would therefore be Christian . Even before Christ was born to this world. The Catholics use a cross with Jesus still nailed to it . The other christian sects use an empty cross to show that Christ rose from death to ascend back to heaven and his father. Others use ab equal armed cross that are named after the four directions or elements the center being spirit.
Then heir is the ST, Andrews cross looks more like an X. The Christian crosses look more like a sword thrust into the Earth.

Christians don't worship the cross. We use it as a symbol of our faith. I don't walk into my Church and bow before the cross, or Crucifixion. I see it and remember that Jesus died for our sins. He is not still on the cross, like the Catholics still have him, he has risen and is alive. He is no longer there on that cross. He will return. So please don't refer us as cross worshipers. You take something out of content and totally mess with the meaning just to make an argument. I really wish that you would not judge what you do not know. And by the way, Jesus is Jehovah. How you got "Ja-eus" out of Jesus is beyond me.

Although I'm not a cross worshiper, I do believe that Jesus died a sacrificial death on a stake, possibly a cross, and that because of that sacrificial death, you and I have the opportunity of salvation. So I think that the reason that most people who call themselves Christians wear crosses is because it symbolizes to them the death of Jesus which is very important to a Christian.

I must comment on Achtung's observation about how first-century Christians would feel about glorifying the instrument of Jesus' death, which he calls an 'idol'. No need for us to wonder about how Paul would feel about glorifying the instrument of Jesus' death since he plainly says in Gal. 6:14 that he would GLORY only in the "cross of our Lord Jesus Christ". Substitute "stake" if you like, it doesn't change how Paul felt about the instrument of Jesus' death. He valued it, he didn't demean it. Perhaps if one takes off the Watchtower colored glasses, they would see things from Paul's point of view.

It might also be "eye-opening" to ask Achtung if he thinks that the early Jehovah's Witnesses were "cross-worshipers" because they wore a cross and crown pin as an expression of their love and appreciation for Jesus. Not to mention the fact that this "idol" appeared for many years on the cover of the Watchtower. Apparently "cross worship" is in the "eye of the beholder".

Christians do not need physical reminders of their faith. What does the word faith mean? Hebrews 11:1 tells us: "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (NIV)
If a persons faith is strong, then there is no need for images.
Jehovah's Witnesses are not a cult. We adhere strictly to the Bible and do not isolate ourselves from society. We are advocates for God's Kingdom and do not involve ourselves in the political affairs of the world. Jesus told his apostles to go door to door and tell others about his Father's Kingdom .We do that also. If this makes us a cult, then you would have thought Jesus and his followers were a cult, which they certainly were not.

Christ is not a cult or liek anyone else. The reason for teh cross and not Him on the cross is this: He died and was raised 3 days later. teh cross is a symbol of HIs death and resurrection. By Him not being on the cross, it symbolizes that He is resurrected and alive and well. Religion like the Catholics will still keep Him on the cross, because they do nothave a full understanding of teh cross and what happened that day. The day the devil got beat big time.

It's not the cross itself, it's the boy on the cross. The term 'Christian' is coined from 'christos,' a Greek word for meaning 'one who is anointed,' as in with oil, as in during a religious ceremony.

Cult, religion, it's all interchangeable. The names are irrelevant. Synonyms for groups of people who can't think for themselves.

You're right, the cross in its many manifestations has been a symbol long used for art and worship, centuries before followers of Jesus of Nazareth existed.

I wouldn't waste too much time worrying about their choice of symbols. It's the gun-toting and the armies that you should be concerned about.

There are no such things as cross worshippers.
Christians do not worship the cross
They worship Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for you and me.

People who have the wrong idea and worship Jesus' idols, photos, etc, and even the cross, is committing idolatory.

Even when we wear the cross on our necklaces, it is a remembrance to Jesus and a proclaimation of our faith.

Not because we think it can protect us or because we worship it.

Most Christians do not 'worship' the cross so to speak, it's more of a reminder of WHO is being worshiped, example, I'm sure you have pictures of your relatives, would you say you worship them? no, you keep the pictures as a reminder of your loved ones, the cross is the same way, if it were a cross, a manger, or as you suggested a bust of Christ himself..it only serves as a reminder (as to the bust part of the question, I think it's becuase no one actually KNOWS what Christ looked like.)
