If Someone lived with a constant severe pain, wouldn't the mind adapt, to give relief.

It's possible, I've never heard of it though. The body and brain adapt to certain situations in countless ways.

Technically, if you do something "by yourself" or "with someone" (which results in a "climax") you release endorphins "at will". But just by thinking about it? The body wasn't made that way, unfortunately, you need a trigger.

Many pains go to a level lower than the conscious level.. you only become aware of the discomfort if you happen to bump the affected part. Brings it to the conscious level in a hurry.
