No you can not!
To fall in love you have to meet the required physical chemistry
that one does when you meet.
Its that home run kiss.
Its that look.
Its all the firsts
the anxiety in your tummy
all of that is what love is all about

I think that it is very possible and it happens a lot. However much caution should be taken as you can never really be 100% sure who you are "falling in love with". But then again you can fall in love with someone in real life and have them be someone different as well. Internet love isn't for everyone, but yes, I believe it can happen.

I think you can fall into like. There was a guy that I met online, we talked for a few years via messenger. we had a good time talking and thought we had things in common etc. We told each other we loved each other. And I did believe that I had love for him. But I didn't believe I was in love.
when we met I really didn't have an attraction to him. And then we spent a week together. There were some things about him, being with him in person that I wasn't comfortable with.
I really think that to know you are in love, It takes being with that person, spending time with them.

I didn't fall in love but I begin to enjoy the other party's emails so much that I always look forward to them.
Sadly, they are the past now as I didn't want to eat into other family time.
The lesson I learnt: "If ever I find a good company, never ever loose it. Enjoy the moment whatever friendship it is, it may just be a seasonal friend or a lifetime friend."

Yup...there's currently a long term study going on proving the fact that people easily fall in love on the internet with people they don't truly know.
Unfortunately - at this point, theres a zero success rate after 5 years.

Absolutely!!! A friend of mine "met" someone online who lived overseas. They used the web cam and communicated daily, but never met in person before taking a trip to yet another country to get married. Imagine that? They are now very happily married.
It can definitely happen, but you have to be careful. People can portray themselves as someone/something they are not. I fell in love with someone who said he was single, then much much later I found out he was married with two kids. Needless to say, I was hurt, and BIG TIME PISSED OFF!!! My friend and his bride were 100% honest with each other, so for them it worked out beautifully.

No, but you sure can be infatuated. Actual love takes time together in person.
