About 3 hours ago at school I kissed my girlfriend, I built up all this courage to kiss her, I took me a lot of guts to do this and then I did it, but I missed, I kissed just above her lip, so my bottom lip was on her top lip.... all I could think of was "OH F**K I MISSED!", I said "Sorry" and started to laughed (Not hard, more of a giggle type laugh) just after I kissed her we hugged, she smiled and it looked like she didn't mind that I missed and we both went off to class but after school she walked past me and called me a dick..... I mean that hurt... I built up all this courage to kiss her at school infront of a few friends and she calls me a dick...... I feel bad now... what did I do wrong?

Thanks for all the answers everybody, they are ALL great except for hew_weha's answer, thanks for all the support and I know that there are people out in this world that care for people like me and other teens that are having trouble with life... I WISH ALL YOUR ANSWERS COULD BE BEST ANSWERS! There are so many great answers I can't choose a best answer but I have to.... all you guys are great and thanks for all the fab answers, I wanna make em all best answers! (Except hew_weha's answer of course lol he is so harsh.... I think he/she needs to lay off the booze and drugs, get a life and grow up himself/herself) I mean come on! First kisses are usually always akward, but the worst thing a guy can possess is a lack of confidence- never ever apologize for doing things wrong when it's the best you can do, you should have just pretended like it was what you meant to do- act like it is not big deal, don't worry about it- you'll probably kiss more and more and get better, it'll be okay- good job for doing it though! And who the hell knows why she called you that,unless she didn't want you do it in the first place and you acted like a jerk- I'm guessing it had nothing at all to do with the kiss. DO NOT worry about 'missing', that barely is even missing, just kiss her more and she'll see it's fine. But do not apologize and admit your fault, that's not cool to do, act like it was nothing.

Nerds are always an easy target. By kissing your girlfriend in public, you're exposing yourself to jugement and laughter of others. You seem to be at the tender age where people - even friends - can be very cruel among each other. In order for your girlfriend to have this kind of reaction, I believe that a friend of hers or even a rival who she envies told her something very nasty about you and probably made her feel the same by beeing with you.
In anyway, you should ask her for an explanation or better yet, give her the cold shoulder. Let her think that she's not worthy of you (which is probably the case).

I can't think of any reason for her to call you names, except if somebody told her you kissed her on a dare, or on a bet. Or, if you missed so bad that you kissed somebody else, that might be a problem for her too.
I would talk to her, and find out what the problem is. She's probably blowing something way out of proportion.

It's not your fault it's hers she's being a *****. She should realize how much she hurt you by calling you a dick in front of your friends. Dump her *** to the curb and find yourself a new girl who'll treat you better.

absolutely nothing, shes a biotch and get rid of her, so what u missed, thats not a bad thing, my friend missed his first time and skimmed her cheek. so it could've been worse. or if u hit heads, lol. Don't feel bad, you're innocent.

um ok i think that if she called you that just becuase of that than there is something wrong with her not you. i mean seriously...just becuase she is experienced does not mean that you are and if she is your girlfriend than why would she say mean things. i think that is was sweet of you to try. thats what really matters. next time you see here...well in this case...try agian...and say im new at this or something along those lines. if it was me in your shoes i wouldnt be dating that girl anymore...
