Depends on the length of the blade...
You don';t want too much of the blade to break the sound barrier so the longer the blade the smaller the RPM..
Its been 20 years sense I have flown one but as I remember the rotor speed was about 1200..
That was in a Huges 500.
It was jet powered so the motor speed was much higher.. Like about 30,000

The tail rotor is about 3000 rpms and the main rotor is about 2000 rpms

It's going to differ from helicopter to helicopter based on the length of blades, number of blades, and designed airspeed. If I remember correctly, the CH-46 was 264, but the Bell 206 is 394, so you can see if does vary quite a bit.

properly, i understand no longer something approximately helicopters, so i presumed the pilot is a smoker, and that he has devised a kinda of ventilation duct :) i admire Michel Verheughe's answer (between others). constructive shot, BTW.
