cats can eat pork, just not a steady diet of it, a pork chop now and then will not hurt, just make sure there are no bones. cats require a higher protein level than most other animals , and as much as 60% of the calories in a cats diet can come from fat, high fat diets tend to produce obesity. the fat intake of cats is twice that of a dog,, but if there is not enough vitamin e in the diet to much polyunsaturated fat can cause problems....so just dont feed it to them as a steady diet...once in a while is fine....

I 've heard pork is toxic to cats. Also, especially raw pork or any other raw meat to cats is wrong, because it causes the spreading of toxoplasmosis(Look it up in wikipedia for more details). Anyway, I think stray cats are unlikely to eat pork chops often, so I'm sure they're fine and very happy with it. I have given pork to stray cats too. Just next time prefer chicken or fish...lol.

I lived on a Farm in my youger days and cats will eat almost anything. Certainly pork will not hurt the strays as they would be used to eating anything they can get their paws on. Just do not give them small broken bones as they could get them stuck in their throats. The bigger ones will not hurt as they will get the meat off. Strays will eat almost anything including cooked rice, potato and all meats even uncooked. In fact it is often better to give your pet cat some raw meat instead of just all the processed food that is available nowadays. Kangaroo meat is good for this purpose.

Cooked pork won't hurt cats. I don't even think RAW pork would hurt a cat.

If they are stray cats, it's probably the best meal they've had in a while.

Pork CAN be harmful to cats. They are the only true carnivores in the animal kingdom but thier bodies are not meant to handle the amount of fat in the pork. I would recommend either feeding the strays chicken or hamburger instead. I know that they aren't your cats, but I'm sure you don't want them to be in any pain. Thank you for taking care of the strays in your neighborhood!!!!

As a matter of fact animals systems are very differnt than ours and they can naturally handle all meat, raw or cooked. Though the raw meat is a lot healthier, cooked wont hurt them unless it was packed in seasoning.

Cats can eat anything. Even poultry bones. They are carnivores, thats why they have all the sharp teeth. I have never heard of a cat that died from eating anything wierd except for antifreeze.
