YES your local govt. lab can do it, they have a seperate department for that purpose

You can take it to a local water purification site (a lab) to get it tested. If you need to drink it, just boil for at least 5-10 minutes (to be sure you've killed all viruses, etc.), or buy a water purification kit (found in your local travel store).
