sure. get on for about 45-60 minutes a day. does your bike have a resistance meter on it? if so work on several different programs. best so switch off hard riding on high resistance with low rpm to somedays push up the intensity lower the resistance and run at a really high rpm. electronic bikes are good because they have programs that automatically change up the resistance.

Yes... as long as you can get your heartrate up continuously for about 40 minutes. If you really want to know how, get a book on heartrate training and a monitor. It's scientifically proven and a good way to know that you're doing it right.
