My son was my strength, I was only pregnant with him but it made things so much easier, having something or someone to look forward too usually helps. Maybe you should plan a trip with friends, count down the days as you mark them off of your calendar, anything to keep your mind off of your broken heart.

Its hard and it takes time, there is no rushing it or speeding it up, we all heal differently and every time our heart is broke its a different feeling and different healing process. Goodluck, keep your head up, and remember there are plenty of people in this world who love you, even if its just one.

My first true broken heart was when I broke up with my live-in girlfriend at the age of 23. It killed me for months and ate away at my soul. I was depressed for a long long time. I finally found the answer in God and after a year's worth of working with a counsellor my life finally felt together again. It didn't save me from my next broken heart though but the faith I gained and the mental tools I developed with the first one helped me through much quicker. Now I'm in the throws of my third one and I'm 30 now. It's been about 2 weeks and its still pretty rough sometimes but I know I'll be ok, I believe in myself. Yes, I'm still week and it will take a while for me to rejuvinate but I'm not nearly as nonfunctional as I was the first time. I can actually get something done sometimes.

it hurts just as much as the first but I guess as you get older you become wiser and you realize that inspite of the fact that you love this person dearly.........You can't give them a 100%. You have to save some for yourself. My heart has been broken before, I am not saying that you should follow this but this is the philosophy I live by now. "Never to love anyone more than they love me" It's sucks loving someone who is not loving you back the way you deserve to be loved. Overall, time is what heals a broken heart.........you are wiser now so I know you won't make the same mistakes that you made in the past. Good luck!!!

I remember being in such a depression, that I thought about killing myself, But my sister inlaw told me that when things get as bad as they can, they have to get better, And then I desided to take a look at people that were in a lot worse shape then me, All I was thinking about was ME ME ME, there are so many people in the world that are truly dieing, form disease, they live with pain every day, I know that the heart hurts, I mean I KNOW it hurts, I have been there, and not long ago, and it still hurts at times But if we try to make someone else feel good , you know what happens? we end up feeling better. GOD has the perfect plan for us, if we would just do what he says to do, we would be happy. If we spread love, we find love. GOOD LUCK< AND GOD BLESS, I hope your heart heals soon.

No doubt about it, a broken heart is the worst feeling. And the ONLY thing that makes it better is time.

Time WILL help. We will get our hearts broken more than once in this life, but God knows who we need to have, and sometimes we choose the wrong ones, that end up leading us to the right one!

There's a song out now..."God blessed the broken road" and it's talking about the hurts one goes through losing people they love, but ends with "God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you".

Hang in there. When that broken road finally has led you to the right one, all the pain you are going through now will make that love even sweeter. I promise!

I remember my first and only broken heart i'm not able to tell you how I got over it, because it's been years and I'm still not over it. It still hurts like it just happened, and the feeling destroys me everyday a little bit more.

Yes, everytime is just as bad as the time before. The best thing to do is to go out with friends, not to drink or not to the bar but just go out for dinner or watch movies. But onestly, I don't anything makes you feel better except time.

I've had heart break. But the fact that realizing that time goes on and that there is still someone out there for you. Don't give up, but let them find you :) Always smile...and to make time go quicker, get out there, do things with friends, movies, concerts, go to coffeehouses...you never know who might fall for your smile. :)

i am just coming through one.....it is very painful, but u just hang in there. Someday, u will find ur true love, probably in a place u least expected, ur least thought of.

U need to find something else to do, to forge this person, yes u sometimes would keep going over it, again and again, but trust me, the faster ur over with it, the quicker u will find that right person...

I felt like my life was over, but than after a year, realised it was the best thing that ever happened to me, I wouldnt be the person I am today. If i was still with him.
